Where should I start?
For dancers who want clarity, confidence, and strong fundamentals. Great if you’re newer, returning, or rebuilding.
For dancers ready for feedback, depth, and refinement. You’ve trained before, but something still feels missing.
Groove Foundations
Groove Foundations teaches you how to dance in a grounded, social, and intuitive way. You’ll learn to listen to music, recognize patterns, keep time, and move with grooves that feel right in your body.
We introduce the essentials of social dancing—seeing, hearing, and responding to movement, and exploring how you move before learning a specific style.
Great for new dancers or anyone missing foundational training. This course builds the rhythm and awareness that make all other classes easier.
- Mondays, Jan 12 – Mar 9
- 7:00 – 8:15pm
- Aether Seattle
Studio Shoe Policy
No Class: Feb 2
Hip Hop Foundations
Hip Hop Foundations builds on the groove, rhythm, and social dance skills you developed earlier. You’ll learn the building blocks of Hip Hop freestyle—bounce, rock, roll—and how they live in the music and in your body.
We explore Hip Hop’s culture of sampling and how movement evolves, helping you approach the style with intention rather than imitation.
Not recommended for new dancers. You need coordination, body awareness, and comfort with grooving. This is where dancers start expressing Hip Hop in a way that feels honest to them.
- Mondays, Jan 12 – Mar 9
- 8:30 – 9:45pm
- Aether Seattle
Studio Shoe Policy
No Class: Feb 2
House Foundations
House Foundations builds on your groove literacy, musical sensitivity, and social dance experience. With those skills in place, you’re ready to train House—a groove-based, club-centered form shaped by many traditions.
We focus on how House lives in the music: rhythm, release, and social exchange. Foundational steps help you feel how the style moves through your body with flow and intention.
Not recommended for new dancers. You need coordination, timing, and comfort picking up patterns at quicker tempos. This is where dancers begin developing personal flow in House.
- Tuesdays, Jan 13–Mar 10
- 7:00–8:15pm
- Aether Seattle
Studio Shoe Policy
No Class: Feb 3
Freestyle Lab
Freestyle Lab is for dancers who can already freestyle comfortably and want more clarity, depth, and intention. This space is pure movement research.
We study your existing vocabulary—your habits, patterns, choices—and explore new pathways through rhythm, texture, and direction. You’ll test ideas in real time with focused coaching and space to experiment.
This is where dancers begin owning their voice and expressing themselves with confidence and clarity.
- Tuesdays, Jan 13–Mar 10
- 8:30–9:45pm
- Aether Seattle
Studio Shoe Policy
No Class: Feb 3
Strength Foundations
Strength Foundations helps you feel stronger, more supported, and more connected to your body. You’ll learn how strength training works, how exercises feel, and how to approach workouts with more clarity and less hesitation.
For many dancers, this is the first time training starts to translate into their dance—more groundedness, more control, and a better sense of how their body supports movement.
- Sundays, Jan 18 – Mar 8 (8 weeks)
- 12:00 – 1:00pm
- FUELhouse Gym
Strength Lab
Strength Lab is for dancers who want strength training to be a steady part of their week. With structured programming and coaching support, you learn how to push, pace, and challenge yourself in a sustainable way.
This is where dancers feel the long-term benefits of consistency—more power, more control, and movement that feels supported from the inside out.
- Sundays (ongoing)
- 11:00am – 12:00pm
- FUELhouse Gym
